What Happens After You Cancel
After cancellation:
- DashPass benefits remain active until the end of your current billing period
- After that, standard DoorDash pricing applies — delivery fees return on every order
- Your DoorDash account and order history are not deleted
- You can resubscribe to DashPass at any time
DoorDash does not offer prorated refunds for the unused portion of your billing period. If you cancelled mid-cycle, you've already paid for the month — use DashPass until it expires.
Is DashPass Actually Worth Keeping?
DashPass costs $9.99/month or $96/year. What you get: $0 delivery fees on eligible orders (normally $2–5), 5% back on eligible pickup orders, and reduced service fees.
The math: if a typical DoorDash order saves you $4–6 in delivery fees with DashPass, you need to order at least 2 times per month for DashPass to pay for itself. If you order weekly, it pays for itself within two orders per month and saves you money every order after that.
If you order DoorDash less than twice a month — or mostly from restaurants that aren't DashPass-eligible — it's not earning its keep.
